It’s starting to get hot, and it won’t be long before summer really is upon us. This means that your skin is more exposed in the coming months. This is partly due to the sun’s rays and the dry air.
Last week you could read how to make your skin summer ready. This week we have gone one step further; how do you keep the skin fresh all summer? We have written a practical guide to this and you can read it below.
1) Drink plenty of water
You’ve certainly heard it before, but now we’re just going to draw a thick line under it; drink water. Drink plenty of water. When the sun shines and the temperature creeps above 25 degrees, your skin becomes thirsty. And all you can do is drink enough water. Some even drink up to 2.5 liters a day. That said, it’s an individual thing, but remember to get drunk enough.
Dehydration of the skin is a major problem that can cause a web of fine lines and wrinkles in the skin — so remember the water.
2) Remember the sunscreen
Your skin is just more exposed over the summer. The sun’s UVA and UVB rays are sharper now than the rest of the year. Sun does good, but too much sun does bad. Among other things, the sun is good for stimulating our metabolism, increasing the oxygen content of our cells and strengthening our immune system.
The sun and its rays can be dangerous to our skin. Therefore, always be sure to wear sunscreen when you go out in the sun. Many Danes go on holiday during the summer. This means warmer air layers and a higher UV index. It also increases the risk of getting sunburned. Therefore, whether you are foreign or not, you must protect yourself from the sun’s rays.
Use a good and waterproof sunscreen. For example, you can use Raunsborg® SUN LOTION SPF 15. It contains berries and has a wonderful scent of cucumber and birch — and it is also coral-friendly.
3) Give skin moisture
Now you’ve made sure that the skin gets enough water and that it’s protected by using sunscreen — that’s it! But you’re not quite done. You still need to add the necessary moisture to the skin. And you should preferably do that on a daily basis. You can either use a good lotion or a good anti-age day cream.
Our anti-age day cream has many of the features your skin needs over the summer. For example, it contains active peptides, which have an instant effect on the length and depth of wrinkles. But more importantly; it provides moisture to the skin and maintains the skin’s natural moisture balance for up to 72 hours. Your skin will be silky smooth.
4) If it goes wrong
Sometimes it just happens; You’ve been burned. The sun’s rays have got your skin hugged, and it’s now redder than a strawberry. What are you going to do? You can take a few ipren and soothe the pain a bit. Once you have done so, you can apply an aftersun lotion.
Our aftersun lotion is a moisturizing and nutritious lotion with a fresh and wonderful scent of cactus flower. It has a rich content of assets and is specially developed to calm, soothe and cool the skin after being in the sun.
Raunsborg® Aftersun Lotion contains blueberries and elderflower that have a calming effect — and at the same time leaves the skin soft and supple. Along with assets from sea buckthorn and rapeseed oil, your skin gets the vitamins needed to get back on top.
Remember, take care of yourself in the sun. The best thing you can do is actually stay in the shade, but if you’re moving away from your sun chair anyway, you can use this guide to keep your skin fresh all summer.
